Jesus offered up his life blood on the cross as a ransom for the sins of the people in the world so that anyone that believe in him can have redemption and their sins can be cleansed away with the blood of Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament days, blood of sacrificed animals from the sin offerings are used to cleansed the sins of the people of Israel and the priest on the Day of Atonement. However, it doesn’t mean that your sins will automatically be cleansed with the blood of Jesus Christ after conversion. We are all sinners and everyone make mistake from time to time. If you sin, you must confess it and ask for God’s forgiveness so that the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse your sins.

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people. (Hebrews 9:7 KJV)

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22 KJV)

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14 KJV)

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:9 KJV)

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:28 KJV)

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood (Revelation 1:5 KJV)

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7-9 KJV)
