Bible Study Lesson on Serving Others
Christians must know how to humble themselves and serve others instead of waiting for people to serve them. At the church, there are many ways you can serve God. You should take part in a service at the church. New born Christians often want others to serve them. If you just get baptized, you must start to read the bible so that you will know God’s words.
When you know God’s words, you can teach others and evangelize to them. You should not always request people to pray for you but learn to pray yourself and pray for others as well. You should do your best to serve your pastors and fellow sisters and brethen at the church. Pastors should also do their best to serve others instead of waiting for others to serve them. Christians should also love their enemies and serve them.
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. (Luke 9:48 KJV)
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. (Luke 6:35 KJV)
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. (Ephesians 6:7 KJV)
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Luke 4:8 KJV)
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21 KJV)
