Bible Study Lesson on Angels and Demons

Angels are ministering spirits of God. Their job is to minister to us. There are many different types of angels and angels with different ranks in heaven. Different angels have different roles. Every day, you must pray for God to send his angels to come and protect you. Angels like human beings, have emotions and free wills. Angels are spiritual beings but human beings have spirits and bodies.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Hebrews 1:14 KJV)

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (Hebrews 13:2 KJV)

There are lots of angels in heaven.

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. (Hebrews 12:2 KJV)

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? (Job 25:3 KJV)

God’s angels are holy.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. (Matthew 25:31 KJV)

Satan and his Demons

Satan and his demons are fallen angels. They were once angels, that served before God in heaven. However, Satan, whose name used to be Lucifer was proud and wanted to be god so he rebelled against God. Eventually, Lucifer and those angels who followed him were thrown down from heaven into a hell, a place that God created for them. God and Satan are always fighting. God want more souls in heaven but Satan want to bring more souls into hell. Satan’s strategy to bring people to hell is through deceptions. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy.  Satan can use the people around you, situation, and etc to give you the wrong influence so that he can achieve his ultimate goal and lead you to Hell. To avoid Satan’s deception, you must always cling on to God and develop a close relationship with him.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 KJV)

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39 KJV)

Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27 KJV)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8 KJV)

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44 KJV)

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV)

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV)
